Dǎ Jiān Ninja: Finding Dreams

dǎ jiān

2 - 4 Aug (Fri - Sun)

Music Theatre

Drop the beat to dream on and save the world!

Legend has it that a group of “dǎ jiān ninja” lives in a distant ocean. On the surface, they are jolly ninjas good at drumming, but their true hidden skill lies in their superpower: using percussion to extract “dream essence”.

A catastrophe has stolen everyone’s ability to dream, leaving no one to dream at night and no one to wake up in the morning with a smile. To save people from their dull lives, dǎ jiān ninjas call on all the children who love to dream to join them on a journey at sea to try out different kinds of percussions, and reclaim the dreams of the whole world. The ninja ship is about to set sail, let’s get on board now!

Join percussionist Anna Fan and percussion group dǎ jiān in this interactive performance that combines live music and original songs with drama and dance. Together with the ninjas, embark on a sea adventure through the rich percussion cultures of China, Brazil, Europe and America, immersing in the heat of rhythm and beat.
