Turning Tang poems into songs, adventures and smiles
The long-anticipated school outing is cancelled, leaving Siu Hei frustrated. To chase away the blues, Mom and Grandpa host a surprise "getaway" for Siu Hei, and they are inviting audiences of all ages to come along for the ride!
Cantonese opera and nanyin maestro Yuen Siu-fai teams up once again with acclaimed composer Ng Cheuk-yin and playwright Musette Tsang to create a special music theatre piece with a live ensemble. Tang poetry is sung through the enchanting melodies of nanyin. Come and join this musical adventure with your family!

“Speak & Play Cantonese” Parent-child Drama Workshop
Did you know Cantonese has nine sounds and six tones? That's why it sounds so musical! Cantonese nanyin is a unique art form that turns these tones into song and storytelling. Come join this workshop and explore the sounds and rhythms of Cantonese through games and singing.

Parent-child Nanyin Introductory Workshop
The instructor will introduce the structure of nanyin, and participants will try their hands at writing new lyrics for a classic melody. With the beat of the wooden clapper baan, families will perform their verses together, creating a one-of-a-kind parentchild nanyin piece!
