Picnic and Play
Escape the heat and enjoy the comfort of an indoor picnic and playtime, as IAC transforms theatre foyers into relaxing spaces filled with music and performing arts delights. World champion harmonica player Gordon Lee leads a workshop, inspiring young minds through music-making and creative jamming. Registration Date
Registration starts on 12 June 2026 at 10am
Registration and Fee
Register on URBTIX and pay the registration fee of $100 for each group of family, the fee will be refunded after attendance.
Quota
75 Families (East Kowloon Cultural Centre), 25 Families (Yuen Long Theatre)
(A maximum of four people in each family group, regardless of age.)
- Each ticket-holding family group will receive a picnic mat and a picnic pack.
- Participants will be seated on their picnic mat. Please wear socks and dress casually.
- Due to limited space, each picnic mat only accommodates a maximum of four participants to ensure a comfortable experience for all.
- Please register two quotas in advance if there are more than four participants. (e.g. For a group of six participants, register two quotas and pay $200 registration fee. On the day of the event, you will receive two picnic mats and two picnic packs upon entry with the two tickets.)
- Each person can register a maximum of 2 quotas per registration.
Registration Channel
Internet booking, mobile ticketing app, self-service ticketing kiosk booking and telephone booking available. NOT available for URBTIX counter booking.
Handling Charges
Handling charge for internet, mobile app and telephone booking is HK$9 per ticket. All handling services charges have no cap and are non-refundable.

- For internet booking, mobile app booking and self-service ticketing kiosk booking: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, Alipay or WeChat Pay
- Telephone booking: Visa, Mastercard, American Express or UnionPay without PIN authentication
Refund of Registration Fee
After the attendance at the event has been confirmed by a staff member scanning the ticket on the event day, the registration fee will be automatically refunded to the patron through the Maoyan platform. The refund shall be made by using the same payment method used to purchase the tickets as shown in the latest record of URBTIX. It will take approximately one month.
Refund Scope and Fee Adjustment
The refund does not include handling charge and mailing/courier services charges. These charges are subject to change from time to time and will be announced on URBTIX website.
Photo-taking and Video-recording
By participating in this event, you agree that the organiser may film and record the event, and that the related images and sounds may be used by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, First Initiative Foundation or The Garden Company Limited for news, publicity, broadcasting, and social media purposes.
Composition Corner and IAC Exhibition
Check out our interactive art installation, where kids become little composers, creating melodies and musical arrangements with just a touch. Local artists Soilworm and Moon.noon present multimedia works inspired by this year's IAC programmes for you to explore.
