As war breaks out in 1942, Matsuoka Elementary School is forced to shut down, and sixth-grader Ushimaru has to graduate early. Students are required to wear white shirts to take the graduation photo, but Ushimaru, who comes from a poor family, cannot find a clean shirt. With only two weeks left, will Ushimaru be able to find a white shirt and take the final photo with his classmates?
