Animal Gacha

Rice Journey Production Company

19 - 21 Jul (Fri - Sun)

Dance Theatre

What brings more surprises: gacha or animals?

The animal world has many members with different shapes, looks, personalities and temperaments. Who are the best buddies? Who are natural enemies? Who are the best partners? Who is who’s guardian angel? Do animals live in harmony and depend on each other? Or are they disparate and fighting in a life-and-death struggle?

Rice Journey Production invites children and adults to become zoologists and discover the social network of animals through gacha. Sealed in gacha and waiting to be released by the audience, animals twist and dance their bodies to visualise a complex relationship chart of the diverse animal world. This is both a gacha game and a lively lesson in ecology!

“Twist and Turn” Parent-child Creative Movement Workshop

Do you notice children are as agile as monkeys when they are climbing and swinging? Or as light as butterflies? Do they sometimes become stealth masters like some insects, and you can't find them at all? This workshop introduces children to the animal world, and encourages parents and children to learn more about one another through touch and eye contact. Come and explore the mystery of animals and indulge in the fun of dancing!
