濃情集, by Hong Kong children’s author A Nong, influenced a generation of young people in the 1980s, and the work, characterised by deep emotion, youthful aspiration, and a positive attitude towards life, remains among the city’s cultural treasures.
In this dynamic adaptation by Musical Trio, six of the book’s short stories are transferred to the stage to reveal life in that period. Together with live music and spirited dance routines, the zesty show revitalises the tales and outlook of Hong Kong people in earlier times to enchantingly re-engage with the enriching humanity of A Nong’s literary gems.

"Bring the Story Alive: Children’s Literature and Musical" Talk
Many of the most-loved musicals are based on children’s books. Here, Seth Chan, artistic director of Musical Trio, and guests share ways to adapt such works into musicals and inspire children to both read and appreciate the arts. Excerpts to demonstrate how to effectively weave plot lines into songs will also be performed.
