“DingDing’s great grandfather arrived in Hong Kong over a hundred years ago.”
For more than a hundred years, different generations of trams have rolled around Hong Kong Island, commuting passengers and their stories of the times past, and becoming a part of the people and society through the decades with their familiar rings of “Ding, Ding, Ding”. Now, following Fong Fong Projet d’ Art's popular web programme, DingDing Wander Yonder, for 2020’s WeWeWebWeb Carnival, based on Jess Lau and Lam Kin-choi’s Little Big Tram the group is back with an imaginative new theatrical production on an actual tram, #120.
Select a route, climb aboard DingDing Tram #120, and journey through the city, to be a passenger and audience of a rolling production, aboard a real tram ride Eastbound (from Whitty Street) or Westbound (from Causeway Bay). In addition, experience for yourself how these iconic vehicles have served the city through its ups, downs, and everyday times. A show to catch!
