Fantasy Puppet Theatre
Let Me Free!
On a visit to his grandmother’s house in the country, city boy Ricky finds every day fun as he explores the natural world around him. One day, he finds an injured fledgling, which he takes back home to nurse until… surprise! His feathered friend’s mother shows up. She has been calling and searching everywhere. But by then, Ricky loves the little bird too. While the boy feels uncomfortable keeping the birds apart, he is also reluctant to see his new pal fly away…
Inspired by the charming illustrated book, Tree of Birds, the show merges puppetry with shadow theatre to create a delightful show with a message. Meticulously crafted puppets are brought to life by experienced puppeteers to demonstrate the strong bond between child and bird and delicately put across the need to balance friendship and independence.
