2015 Hong Kong Youth Music Camp Concerts

Music Office

A summer showcase of Chinese and Western classics

The annual Hong Kong Youth Music Camp is one of the most significant and inspiring summer events organised by the Music Office. During the camp, some four hundred young musicians receive exceptional training through masterclasses, workshops and rehearsals under the direction of celebrated international maestros.

This year’s conductors for the Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Junior Chinese Orchestra, Chinese Orchestra, Youth Choir and Junior Strings in the Camp are Kirk Trevor (USA), Prof Chang Jun-hwa (Korea), Yu Hsin-yi (Taipei), Liu Chiang-pin (Taipei), Prof Romans Vanags (Latvia) and Dr Yu Ka-wai (USA) respectively.

Two fantastic concerts will showcase the distinctive achievements of the camp’s music groups under the batons of these six eminent maestros.
