Prodigies From Around the World
City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong

British musical wunderkind Alexander Prior has been conducting his own compositions since the age of fifteen at prestigious venues such as the Barbican Centre in London and the Great Philharmonic Hall in St Petersburg. Thirteen-year-old American, Simone Porter, is another dynamic young star having made her solo debut with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra at the tender age of ten. Born of Hong Kong connection, Chinese-American Nathan Chan is the remarkable cellist who featured on the USA's popular radio show, From the Top. To complete the amazing line-up of prodigious talent is Hong Kong's own Aristo Sham, whose many accolades include first prize at the Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists in Germany.

Collectively Prior, Porter, Chan and Sham are best known for their appearance in the Channel 4 documentary, The World's Greatest Musical Prodigies. Together in Hong Kong for the first time, they will perform excerpts from solo concertos with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong and the world premiere of Alexander Prior's triple concerto for violin, cello and piano. They will also share their experiences as young stars of the classical stage with the audience. Don't miss the chance to hear them both in word and in musical action!
