Polyglot Theatre (Australia)
Slapstick farce with a definite message!
Baby is a tantrum thrower used to getting what she wants. Entranced by a chocolate bunny in a supermarket, she runs away from her dad. Losing her way in the maze-like store, the young girl bumps into the mysterious Speedy. In return for swapping her much-loved toy with Speedy, she is allowed to have all the products she wishes. But Baby soon starts to realise that snacks and toys are not what she really craves. Instead, she starts to think about home…
Engaging the unique imagination of children, Polyglot Theatre from Australia provides a fast-paced, funny take on parent-child relationships and the effects of consumerism on youngsters. Gifted actors perform alongside vivid, beautifully crafted puppets adding to the show’s appeal. |
