In 1940, Chan Tai-dee gave birth to a baby girl Cheung Won-won. Due to poverty, she planned to sell Won-won to her neighbour. After struggle, she decided to raise her baby single-handedly. When Won-won grew up, she turned out to be a successful working woman in a factory. She however had to juggle the many tasks of mother and career. Time flied, Hong Kong has transformed into a financial hub. Wong Sau-sau, daughter of Won-won, now works as a secretary. She becomes a mother too. But she's clueless about how to bring up her daughter, even though she tries to give her everything...
