A totally unexpected perspective on the well-known story of Hua Mulan, the young woman who disguised herself as a man and took her father's place in the army. In this version, it's not about fighting battles but competing at table tennis. There is also a moral attached: that friendship should override competitiveness.

The Legend of Mulan is the third collaboration between the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and Chung Ying Theatre Company, following La Luna and The Long and Winding Silk Road. Music, drama and fun all rolled into one in typical, Hong Kong tongue-in-cheek style.
